Maintaining the privacy of the information
shared with our agency by our clients is extremely important to
us. When a client purchases insurance from us, a relationship of
mutual trust is entered into by both parties. Maintenance of our
privacy policy is of the utmost importance to our commitment of
maintaining the highest level of confidentiality with all information
received from our clients. Our information-handling practices are
governed by our privacy policy in accordance with the law. This
notice describes those practices which protect your privacy so that
we may provide you with our products and services as required.
As used in this notice, personal
information is defined as that information personally identifying
an individual which is not otherwise available to the public. It
includes financial and health information.
Sources of Personal Information
Personal information is obtained
from several sources – directly from our clients, from client-related
transactions and from third-parties, such as consumer reporting
agencies. Personal information is gathered from sources such as
applications, transactions and consumer reports.
Use of Personal Information
Our employees have access to the
personal information of our clients in the course of doing their
jobs, which includes procuring insurance quotations, placement of
insurance coverage, servicing policies currently in force and processing
claims. Personal information may be shared with insurance companies
as permitted by law. We may disclose personal health information
with proper written authorization or as permitted or required by
law.
Safeguards of Personal
Information
We use manual and electronic security
procedures to protect the integrity and confidentiality of our clients’
personal information. These practices include user authorization
and firewall protection. Protected data is only accessed by those
agency employees who must use it in their job-related activities.
Employees who violate our privacy policy will be subject to disciplinary
action, which may include termination.
